Central clinches lead in fifth inning to defeat the patriots.

Central took the lead late and defeated the Northside Patriots 7-4 on Thursday. The game was tied at three with Central  batting in the top of the fifth when Caleb Johnson singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.

The Red Devils opened up scoring in the first inning, when an error scored one run for Central.

Will Cannon earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for the Red Devils. The righty went four innings, allowing three runs on four hits and striking out five. Caleb Bias and Zion Morris entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Morris recorded the last two outs to earn the save for Central.

Conner Sizemore took the loss for Northside. The pitcher surrendered four runs on one hit over four and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking one.

Central smacked one home run on the day. Morris had a homer in the seventh inning.

Cole Kehoe went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the offense for the Devils. The Devils defense didn't commit a single error in the field. Brody Capps had nine chances in the field, the most on the team.

Conner O'Neal led Northside with three hits in four at bats.

Five RBI Day for Tyler Haines Brings Victory for the Red Devils over Columbus High

Five runs batted in from Tyler Haines helped lead The Central Red Devils past the Blue Devils of Columbus High 12-5 on Wednesday. Haines drove in runs on a double in the first, a single in the third, and a wild pitch in the fourth.

An early lead helped propel The Red Devils to victory. Central scored on a double by Haines in the first inning, a walk by Will Cannon in the first inning, and a triple by Zion Morris in the second inning.

The Red Devils scored five runs in the third inning. Garrett Keyt, Bryce Sanders, Caleb Johnson, and Haines all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

Brodie Farrow took the win for Central. The righty went three and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs on four hits and striking out three. Cole Kehoe and Caleb Bias entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

#11 took the loss for Columbus High. The pitcher surrendered three runs on three hits, walking zero.

Central collected 11 hits. Jax Yoxtheimer, Haines, and Morris each racked up multiple hits for the Red Devils. Yoxtheimer went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead the offense.

#42 led Columbus High with two hits in four at bats.

Central Red Devils Varsity Blows Out Dothan Thanks To Big Second Inning

Central put up seven runs in the second inning on its way to an 8-2 victory over Dothan on Saturday. The offensive firepower by the Red Devils was led by Bryce Sanders, Jax Yoxtheimer, Zion Morris, and Caleb Johnson, all knocking in runs in the inning.

Sanders got the win for Central. The lefthander lasted four innings, allowing one hit and two runs while striking out seven. Brodie Farrow threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.

George-mills was on the hill for Dothan. The pitcher went five innings, allowing eight runs on four hits and striking out six. Brooks Olive threw one inning in relief.

Carson Gilley, Garret Keyt, Yoxtheimer, Morris, and Will Cannon all had one hit to lead the Devils offensively.

Fundum led Dothan with two hits in three at bats.

Red Devils beat GW Long in low-scoring affair

Both teams were strong on the hill Saturday, but the Red Devils defeated GW Long 3-2. Central pitchers allowed just four hits.

The Red Devils got things moving in the first inning, when Zion Morris hit a solo homer.

In the bottom of the first inning, GW Long tied things up at one. Carson Dunlap grounded out into a double play but still was able to knock in one run.

The Red Devils pulled away for good with one run in the third inning. In the third, Tyler Haines singled on an 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Caleb Bias took the win for Central. The righty went three innings, allowing one run on two hits, striking out two and walking zero. Jax Yoxtheimer threw four innings in relief out of the bullpen. He recorded the last 12 outs to earn the save for the Red Devils.

Brody Walker took the loss for GW Long The Bulldog lasted four innings, allowing seven hits and three runs while striking out two.

Central had one home run on the day. Morris launched a long ball in the first inning.

The Red Devils saw the ball well today, racking up 11 hits in the game. Morris, Garrett Keyt, and Carson Gilley all collected multiple hits for Central. Morris went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the offense. The defense was sure handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Brody Capps had the most chances in the field with nine.

Walker led GW Long with two hits in three at bats.

Central Red Devils Varsity Takes Victory Against Russell County In Pitcher's Duel

Both teams were strong on the mound Friday, but Central defeated Russell County 2-1. Red Devil pitchers allowed just three hits to Russell County.

Will Cannon earned the win for the Red Devils,  allowing two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out eight. Zion Morris recorded the last six outs to earn the save.

Russell took the loss for Russell County. He lasted six innings, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out eight.

Cole Kehoe, Garret Keyt, Caleb Johnson, and Bryce Sanders all had one hit to lead the Red Devils offense.

Milam went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Russell County in hits.

Tyler Haines Drives In Four As Central Red Devils Varsity Wins Over Austin

Four runs batted in from Tyler Haines helped lead Central past Austin 14-3 on Saturday. Haines drove in runs on a single in the first and a single in the fourth.

In the first inning, the Red Devils got their offense started when Haines singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. The Devils notched five runs in the sixth inning. Big bats were led by Will Cannon, Jax Yoxtheimer, and Carson Gilley, all driving in runs in the frame.

Brodie Farrow was the winning pitcher for Central. He allowed four hits and two runs over five innings, striking out three. Caleb Bias threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Beard took the loss for Austin, going five innings, allowing eight hits and 11 runs.

The Red Devils collected nine hits. Haines and Yoxtheimer each collected two hits to lead Central. The Red Devils  also stole seven bases during the game as two players stole more than one. 

Royer went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Austin in hits.

Season Opener! Red Devils Nab Win Over Thompson Despite Early 7-Run Inning

Even though Central gave up seven runs in the fourth inning, they still defeated Thompson 10-7 on Saturday. The big inning for Thompson came thanks to singles by Shoop and Pearman, Watts, and a double by Turnbow.

Bats blistered as the Red Devils collected eight hits and Thompson tallied five in the high-scoring game.  Central got on the board in the first inning. when they scored one run on a Caleb Johnson double.

Will Cannon led the Red Devils to victory on the pitcher's mound. The senior allowed one hit and three runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out nine. Cole Kehoe threw three and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen. Kehoe recorded the last ten outs to earn the save for the Red Devils.

Puckett took the loss for Thompson. He surrendered ten runs on six hits over one and two-thirds innings, striking out two.

The Red Devils tallied eight hits on the day. Tyler Haines and Kehoe each racked up multiple hits for the Devils. Kehoe and Haines all had two hits to lead Central, and the Devils didn't commit a single error in the field. Garret Keyt had the most chances in the field with 13.

Pearman went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Thompson in hits.
