Cannon Throws Shutout As The Red Devils defeat Troup County

Will Cannon had all the right stuff on Friday for The Red Devils, allowing zero runs and besting Troup County by a score of 3-0. The pitching was strong on both sides. Cannon struck out 12, while Troup County pitchers sat down six.

Cannon was credited with the victory for Central, giving up only one hit over seven innings and walking zero.

Martin was on the hill for Troup County. He lasted six and two-thirds innings, allowing six hits and three runs while striking out six and walking zero. Garner threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Bryce Sanders went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Central in hits. Central Red Devils Varsity was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. J.J. Graham made the most plays with 13.

Murphy led Troup County with one hit in three at bats.

Central Red Devils Varsity Falls To Opelika After Sixth Inning Score

Central Red Devils Varsity lost the lead late in an 11-9 loss to Opelika on Wednesday. The game was tied at nine with Opelika batting in the bottom of the sixth when Parr's sac fly scored two runs for Opelika.

Despite the loss, Central collected 11 hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Opelika had eight hits on the way to victory.

The Red Devils got things moving in the second inning, when Jared Jackson singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Opelika scored six runs in the fifth inning. Gullatte, Thomas, Harris, Rhodes, and Goodman each had RBIs in the frame.

Brodie Farrow took the loss for Central. He went one inning, allowing two runs on one hit, striking out two and walking zero.

Harris started the game for Opelika. He surrendered one run on three hits over two innings, striking out three and walking zero. Bryce Sanders started the game for Central, surrendering four runs on five hits over four innings, striking out six and walking zero

Caleb Johnson, Tyler Haines, Will Cannon, and Jackson each managed two hits to lead The Red Devils.

Harris and Gullatte each collected multiple hits for Opelika. Opelika didn't commit a single error in the field. Bryan had 11 chances in the field, the most on the team.

Early Lead For Tuscaloosa County Seals Fate For Central Red Devils Varsity

Red Devil Baseball watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 12-4 loss to Tuscaloosa County on Saturday. 

Central struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time containing Tuscaloosa County's offense, giving up 12 runs.

In the first inning, Tuscaloosa County got their offense started when Stout singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run. They scored five runs in the second inning, led by White and Wedgeworth, who drove in runs.

White got the start for Tuscaloosa County, surrendering one run on one hit over two innings, striking out two and walking zero.

Will Cannon led things off on the pitcher's mound for Central going three innings, allowing three hits and eight runs while striking out one. Brodie Farrow and Caleb Bias entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two innings each.

Caleb Johnson led The Red Devils offensively with two hits in four at bats.

Estes went 2-for-5 at the plate to lead Tuscaloosa County in hits.

Central Red Devils Varsity Grabs Lead In Fifth Inning For Victory Over Helena

The Central Red Devils stole the lead late and defeated Helena 6-2 on Saturday. Helena knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Central batting in the top of the fifth, Garret Keyt doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Tyler Haines was the winning pitcher for Central, going seven innings, allowing two runs on five hits and striking out ten.

Gregory led things off on the hill for Helena. He lasted four and a third innings, allowing four hits and four runs while striking out  seven. Gooden and Daughtery entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two innings and two-thirds of an inning respectively.

The Red Devils tallied nine hits on the day. Will Cannon, Jared Jackson, and Keyt all had two hits to lead The Red Devils.

Moss led Helena with two hits in three at bats.

Central Red Devils Varsity Claims Lead In Sixth Inning To Defeat Valley

The Red Devils ran off with the lead late in a 7-6 victory over Valley on Monday. Central trailed 6-5 in the bottom of the sixth inning when Caleb Johnson doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.

Bats blistered as Central collected eight hits, and Valley tallied ten in the high-scoring game.

Valley got things started in the first inning. Osborne doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, The Red Devils Varsity tied things up at five when J.J. Graham singled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs. Central put up four runs in the fifth inning. Cole Kehoe and Graham each had RBIs in the frame. 

Drew Anthony was the winning pitcher for Central. He surrendered zero runs on one hit over one and one-third innings, striking out two and walking zero. Caleb Bias and Brodie Farrow entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Hawkins was on the mound for Valley . He allowed three hits and two runs over four innings, striking out one and walking zero. #1 and Culpepper entered the game as relief, throwing one inning and one inning respectively.

Will Cannon started the game for The Red Devils. He lasted four innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out six and walking zero. The Red Devils totaled eight hits in the game. Kehoe and Graham each collected two hits to lead Central.

Sanders, Osborne, and Culpepper all managed multiple hits for Valley . Valley didn't commit a single error in the field. Kennedy had the most chances in the field with five.

Red Devils Fall To Thompson

Thompson got on the board in the second inning when an error scored one run for Thompson. In the bottom of the second inning, Central tied things up at one when an error scored one run for the Red Devils. After Thompson scored one run in the top of the fourth, Central answered with one of their own. Thompson scored when Puckett grounded out, scoring one run. Central then answered when Garret Keyt doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Thompson pulled away for good with four runs in the third inning. In the third Hobbs doubled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run, an error scored one run for Thompson, and Gregory lined out, driving in a run.

The Red Devils
 scored three runs in the fifth inning. Will Cannon had an RBI single in the inning to lead the run scoring.

Hobbs took the win for Thompson. He went four innings, allowing two hits and two runs while striking out five. Poplin threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. Poplin recorded the last nine outs to earn the save for Thompson.
Tyler Haines took the loss for Central. He surrendered five runs on four hits over three innings, striking out four. Keyt, Cole Kehoe, Cannon, and Caleb Johnson each managed one hit to lead The Red Devils. Central tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Johnson led the way with two.

Thompson totaled seven hits in the game. Braunschweig and Watts all collected multiple hits for Thompson. Braunschweig went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead Thompson in hits.

Haines's Walk-Off Seals The Deal In Red Devils Victory Over Marbury

It came down to the wire on Saturday, with your Red Devils taking the victory 5-4 on a dramatic walk-off single in the late innings over Marbury. The game was tied at four with Central batting in the bottom of the seventh when Tyler Haines singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

The Red Devils got things moving in the first inning, when P.J. Ramsey singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Bryce Sanders recorded the win for the Red Devils, going seven innings, allowing four runs on seven hits and striking out six.

Johnston took the loss for Marbury. He allowed zero runs on one hit and walked zero. Harris started the game for Marbury. He surrendered one run on one hit over three innings

Central racked up 11 hits on the day. Caleb Johnson, Ramsey, and Cole Kehoe each  had two hits for the Red Devils, leading the team in hitting.

Bryson led Marbury with two hits in two at bats.

Walk-Off hit is Picture Perfect Ending In Victory Over Marbury

The Red Devils defeated Marbury 5-4 on Saturday thanks to a walk-off single by Tyler Haines. The game was tied at four with Central batting in the bottom of the seventh when Haines singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run. The Red Devils fired up the offense in the first inning when P.J. Ramsey drove in one run on a single.

Bryce Sanders earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for Central. He surrendered four runs on seven hits over seven innings, striking out six. Johnston took the loss for Marbury. He surrendered zero runs on one hit, walking zero. Harris started the game for Marbury. He went three innings, allowing one run on one hit

Central tallied 11 hits on the day. Caleb Johnson, Ramsey, and Haines each managed two hits to lead The Red Devils.  Bryson led Marbury with two hits in two at bats.

Central Red Devils Varsity Grabs Lead In Fifth Inning To Defeat Hardaway

Your Central Red Devils snatched a late lead in the season opener against Hardaway High School (Columbus, GA) on Thursday. The game was tied at one with the Devils batting in the bottom of the fifth when an error scored one run for Red Devil Baseball, putting them up 2-1.

The pitching was strong on both sides. The Devils' pitchers struck out nine, while Hardaway pitchers sat down four. Hardaway opened up scoring in the first inning. In the bottom of the first inning, Garret Keyt went for the long ball and hit a solo homer to tie things up at 1. Keyt went 2-for-3, leading the Red Devils at the plate.

Will Cannon earned the win for Red Devil Baseball. In this season's opener, he went five innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out eight and walking one. Brodie Farrow and Cole Kehoe entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Kehoe recorded the last three outs to earn the save.

Moss was on the pitcher's mound for Hardaway. He allowed two hits and one run over two innings, striking out one and walking one. Ortiz, Justice, and Demar each contributed in relief for Hardaway.
